Ambler, PA – January 5, 2015 – Moberg announced the arrival of Vice President of Sales, Cheryl McDonald, and Director of Research, Anna Rodriguez, PhD. New leadership will drive growth and innovation of Moberg’s products for acute care neurological monitoring and hospital decision support.
“Customers and thought leaders in neurocritical care are really excited about our monitoring and informatics solutions for the ICU,” explained President Dick Moberg. “The time was right to bring in powerful leadership to boost innovation and expansion.”
Maximizing Growth in an Emerging Market
To meet aggressive growth goals, Moberg recruited a sharp, skilled executive sales manager with proven success at start-up life sciences companies. VP of Sales, Cheryl McDonald, is expected to hit targets by applying effective sales processes and strategically managing accounts.
Cheryl will lead business development activities to increase market presence. She aims to secure national contracts, nurture flagship accounts, and maximize customer loyalty and value. Cheryl intends to expand the reach of Moberg’s sales team through strategic business partnerships and distributor relationships.
Cheryl has directed sales teams for 17 years, with extensive experience selling critical care monitoring products.
Driving Innovation in Neurological Intensive Care
As Director of Research, Anna Rodriguez, PhD will help Moberg meet strategic product development and commercialization goals. She will help bring new products to market and cultivate important business relationships.
Moberg is at the forefront of efforts to improve treatment of traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. “Anna’s working closely with two significant international clinical trials – CENTER-TBI and TRACK-TBI,” noted Dick Moberg. Once the trials are completed, the company will be poised to offer commercial solutions based on the findings.
Developing Partnerships and Superior Neuro Technology
Anna oversees collaboration with universities, software developers, and IT companies including: IBM, DataWatch, Yale University, UCLA, UCSF, University of Zurich, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and others. Partners will develop apps for Moberg’s Smart Neuro ICU – an intensive care unit with intelligent, interconnected devices which provide better data to caregivers.
Anna helped develop novel neurophysiological monitoring technology at Drexel University, where she received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering and holds an adjunct position as Research Assistant Professor.
